Why are lug bolts so expensive?

The same reason rocks are so tasty. Just 'cause.

The first price I found it was $100 to get bolts for the whole car.

$5 a bolt is unreasonable but not insane. I suspect you can do better, but I wouldn't swear you can.

I found $50 to do the whole car, and got excited but the $25 shipping sucked. So yeah, gonna keep looking.

Do you have a local pull-a-part?
Grab some from there and stick them in your pockets on the way out. Helps if you buy some other item at the same time (helps conscience-wise at least).
Me personally I haven't paid for a single fuse since I started going to the scrapyard. Spend 20 minutes walking around with a fuse-puller and presto you've got all the fuses you'd ever need :)

Plus I need like super shiny chrome ones.

My new wheels are like, blinding under the light, so it's almost a need.
